New Year, New Glam

Hey, Qburghers

It’s 2022, time for a fresh start; a clean slate! Here are some of my fave things to give your look that little extra polish for ’22 and beyond!

BODY

Are you using a skin cream after you shower? You should be. Try Alpha Skin Care Renewal Body Lotion. The full-bodied formula is great for dry skin. Their real point of difference is that it’s infused with 12% Alpha Hydroxy. This sugarcane-derived ingredient promotes cell turnover and boosts collagen. You may feel the tingle! They suggest testing on a small area to make sure it jives with your skin. $17.99 for 12 oz at Amazon.com

SCENT

I LOVE anything honey. Back in the day, I had almost the entire line of Burt’s Bees in my medicine cabinet. Seems the world has caught up with Burt as there are now many honey and honey-inspired products on the market. I stumbled on Gourmand Eau De Parfum’s Miel l Bébé at Urban Outfitters and it was instant love! Notes of honey blossom, mandarin, and praline. Delish! $18 for 1.0 oz at UrbanOutfitters.com

GLOW

The winter months can give your skin a serious case of the “blahs.” Like Barb and Star say “We lost our shimmer”. Luckily I have a little trick to boost your skin tone that’s oh-so-natural that’s easy breezy. Clinique’s Sun-Kissed Face Gelee Complextion Multitasker to the rescue! This bronzing gel is meant to be mixed with your favorite facial moisturizer or foundation. Play with how much you add. A little gives some glow… more gives full on Hawaiian vacation. Genius! One shade: $31 for 1.0 oz at Clinique.com

BROW

It’s 2022 and you might want to give your arches a little more vividness without the commitment of filling in with color. My trick has always been to use a sweep of clear brow gel on your natural brow hairs. The clear gel darkens the brows for a little more pop. So natural because it’s colorless. Impossible to mess up! I know it’s good because I formulated it! My Brett Brow Arch-Control gel brushes brow hairs up and out for ultimate brow fullness. Magic! Oh, and use promo code “Qburgh” at checkout for 40% off your order! One shade: $18 available at BrettGlam.com
