Did You Catch These LGBTQ Inclusive Ads During Super Bowl LV?

Last year’s Super Bowl featured commercials from nine brands with LGBTQ+ celebrities or themes and that number declined for Super Bowl LV.

Only three ads prominently featured LGBTQ+ celebrities and themes this year. Additionally, Ru Paul made a “blink and you’ll miss it” cameo in the Paramount+ ad (whatever that is) and two more commercials can only be best described as “queer-adjacent”. Cadillac’s “Edward Scissorhands” themed ad with Timothée Chalamet from “Call Me by Your Name” and Winona Ryder who is always a gift and Hellman’s Mayonnaise ad featuring LGBTQ+ ally Amy Schumer as the Fairy Godmayo… yeah it’s a bit of stretch, sorry. Do better brands!

Undoubtedly, the star of the night was Lil Nas X in Logitech’s ad complete with rainbows, nail polish, and enough queer to almost make up for the lacking representation elsewhere in the programming.

3 Ads Featuring LGBTQ+ Celebrities

Dan Levy refused to stop eating M&M’s while Karen really was a Karen.

Bisexual queen Cardi B was featured in a Wayne’s World inspired ad for Uber Eats (don’t use Uber Eats, call a local restaurant directly).
