The pandemic has started to effect plans for spring of next year while hopes are high for a return to normalcy in the summer and fall of 2021. The Steel City Volleyball League announced the cancellation of their Spring ’21 season but are hard at work planning for a Fall ’21 season.

“This was a difficult decision and we feel the continued disappointment about not playing and being a part of such a great community on a weekly basis”, said Andrew Twigg, SCVL Board President, in a statement released on Facebook.

“We are in planning for the Fall of 2021, and we are especially optimistic that this season will run given recent vaccine developments”, Twigg continued.

The Steel City Volleyball League partnered with Steel City Softball and Stonewall Alliance for a holiday virtual food drive. The charitable giving event is on going and concludes on December 20th.
