LGBTQ Pittsburgh Gives Back

Yesterday, we told you about the Three Rivers Leather Club’s Toy Drive. Here are three more examples of the care and spirit of the LGBTQ Community to come together and support our greater Pittsburgh community this holiday season.

True T PGH Coats 4 Care

True T PGH continues with their great work supporting the Community with Coats 4 Care. Coats 4 Care is True T PGH’s annual winter giveback event providing winter weather essentials to persons in need. This year, the event is two days featuring health services, hot meals, and winter weather attire this Thursday, December 10th from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturday, December 12th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

True T PGH has partnered with Central Outreach Wellness Center, Project Silk, AIDS Free Pittsburgh, Color Me Urban: Pittsburgh, and the Bloomfield Garfield Corporation for this year’s event.

Steel City Softball League Virtual Food Drive

The Steel City Softball League has partnered with the Steel City Volleyball League and the Stonewall Alliance for a virtual food drive to benefit the Great Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.

When you donate, you will be able to designate which organization your donation is in honor of. The Softball League will be donating gift cards from their sponsors to the first fifteen people that donate on behalf of the league and the Stonewall Alliance will be matching donations made in their honor.

The fundraiser runs from today through December 20th.

Gay 4 Good: Pittsburgh Gift Drive

Gay 4 Good: Pittsburgh is partnering with the Bradley Center for a gift drive to benefit the children at the Bradley Center, an educational and residential center that works with children and their families to address trauma, mental illness, and behavioral challenges.

The gift drive runs until December 19th. To participate, please register and you will be given information about an adolescent to donate gifts for.
