Full Job Description

Shepherd Wellness Community is the only HIV/AIDS community in western Pennsylvania and our center is located in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Our mission is helping people living with HIV/AIDS improve their wellness. Please see our website at www.swconline.org.

The position of part-time Coordinator of Administration requires a friendly person who works well individually and as part of a team. They will be engaging with SWC staff, the HIV community, volunteers and regional HIV/AIDS service providers. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Data entry and data management for various administrative needs.

2. Telephone: Screen and transfer calls. Provide advocacy assistance. Provide SWC information.

3. Administrative duties: Prepare reports, correspondence, database record-keeping, other as needed.

Qualifications Required:

This position requires a detail-oriented person who can carry out essential responsibilities related to

administrative needs and data entry. It is a part-time paid staff position.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position.

-Ability to maintain confidentiality.

-Basic knowledge of computer operation.

-Ability to enter data accurately.

-Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

-Good telephone skills.

-Good social skills and ability to interact well with diverse constituency.

Full Covid-19 Vaccination with Booster required. Masks are worn interacting with staff and members.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to climb two steep flights of stairs to the SWC office. The individual is frequently required to sit for long periods. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

$17.50/hour, 15 hours per week (as scheduled).

Schedule:

  • Week days as scheduled (2-3 days per week)

COVID-19 considerations:
Full vaccination with booster required; masks when interacting with staff and members – may be removed while at personal workstation. SWC has not yet resumed in-person dinners and programs; when we resume, vaccination and masking required for attendees.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Administrative: 1 year (Required)
