On Tuesday, Pennsylvania’s version of an anti-trans youth bill was advanced from the Pennsylvania House Education Committee. The bill that would ban trans youth from participating in school sports leagues from kindergarten through college now proceeds to the full Pennsylvania House of Representatives for a vote. A vote on the bill is not yet scheduled.

The Pennsylvania Youth Congress, a statewide LGBTQ youth advocacy organization, spent Tuesday morning urging the committee members to vote against the bill that was drafted in a coordinated movement by designated hate organizations.
