Officials Removed His Flags, Fetterman Put Them Back Up

Lt. Governor John Fetterman

The Pennsylvania Republican Party’s drama over Lt. Governor John Fetterman’s Pride and marijuana flags continued this week when officials removed the flags from his balcony at the Pennsylvania Capitol Building in Harrisburg.

Unfortunately for the PA GOPers, the Lt. Governor has more flags. When they were removed he put more flags back up.

“The Pennsylvania GOP exerted enough pressure and made enough drama so they felt that they needed to do something and they took them down. When I realized that, I just put them back up.” Fetterman told Marijuana Moment.

Fetterman’s Office now also hangs a combination US/Pride/marijuana flag from the office door.

We told you about the drama over Fetterman’s Pride flags in November when State Republicans included a provision in budget legislation that would ban the display of “non-approved” flags at the Pennsylvania Capitol Building. Then and now, Fetterman says he’ll take the flags down when recreational weed is legal in Pennsylvania and there is equal protection under the law for the LGBTQ Community across Pennsylvania.
