Fundraiser for Activist Dena Stanley

A fundraiser to support local trans rights and BLM activist Dena Stanley popped up on Facebook today to pay for the legal fees in relation to the protest at 941 Saloon in June.

The fundraiser seeks to raise $15,000.00 and says:

“URGENT COMMUNITY ALERT: Local Black Trans activist Dena is being targeted.Dena is a freedom fighter, and she shows us how to fight.She protests for an end to state violence against Black Trans people. She protests for safety, for freedom, for equality.We *must* rally around her now.Give now to support her legal costs.Give now to show police that they cannot isolate her from her support networks.Give now.This gofundme is in conjunction with PGH LGBTQ+ Coalition. Money will go directly to Dena.”
