Celebrating 50 years of Pittsburgh Pride!

Celebrating 50 years of Pittsburgh Pride, the Pittsburgh Pride March and Parade stepped off from Liberty Avenue at 11th Street in downtown Pittsburgh at noon on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Joining Grand Marshal State Representative La’Tasha Mayes were Pittsburgh Pride 2023 organizers Dena Stanley and Dalen Hooks, as well as, Wendy Bell and Jim Huggins, community advocates involved in 1973 during the first Pittsburgh Pride. Governor Josh Shapiro marched in the parade, the first Governor of Pennsylvania to march in the Pittsburgh Pride Parade. Lt. Governor Austin Davis, Senator John Fetterman, Congresswoman Summer Lee, Mayor Ed Gainer, State Representative Sara Innamorato, and many other local elected leaders marched as well.

Pulling the balls at OUTrageous Bingo with Rick Allison. Rick has been calling the monthly OUTrageous Bingo for 27 years, which raises money for the Shepherd Wellness Community and the Pittsburgh Equality Center. Rick takes us through the origins of this LGBTQ Pittsburgh institution beginning on December 6, 1997, the opening bingo pledge, the unique games played, and the guest bingo callers throughout the years.
