5801 Video Lounge held a charity chili cook-off last weekend. Nine local LGBTQ+ non-profits participated, including Allies for Health + Wellbeing, Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation, Proud Haven, Shepherd Wellness Community, the Steel City Pups, Steel City Softball League, Stonewall Bowling, Stonewall Kickball, and TransYouniting.

TranYOUniting won “Best Chili” with their “Frankenstein’s Fetish” chili, a white chicken chili garnished with red onion and sour cream. Hugh Lane Wellness came in second place and Proud Haven came in third.

Nearly $1,600.00 was raised for the non-profits.

For generations, the LGBTQIA+ community has come together to create the spaces and resources we need to survive and thrive. From mutual aid networks to safe havens, we’ve always been stronger together.

QBurgh is a modern extension of that legacy—a platform that amplifies, celebrates, and protects our stories. This Giving Tuesday, help us keep this vital work alive.

When we support each other, we create a future as bright as our past is bold.
