WQED and Stories Like Me are celebrating Autism Awareness & Acceptance month with a free event for Educators and Families with a program that highlights there is no right or wrong way for brains to work.
In partnership with the Autism Caring Center and the education team from WQED we’ll host a discussion and activities that will provide resources for early childhood educators, K-12 educators and community members to employ in making the world a more inclusive and safe space for everyone.
With the help of the new series “Carl the Collector” (a raccoon with autism) and his friends, we’ll learn about and celebrate neurodiversity and how we can all benefit when everyone’s needs are respected.
