KDKA reports and SisTers PGH confirms that 21-year-old Amarey Lej (Myara), a Black trans woman, was shot and found dead lying in the street early New Years’ day in Wilkinsburg.
Police responded to the 1300 block of Wood Street in Wilkinsburg at 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning to reports of a woman lying in the street where they found Amarey Lej (Myara). Allegheny County Police Homicide has launched an investigation and is asking anyone with information to contact county police 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
