WYEP and QBurgh have teamed up to curate a Pittsburgh Pride playlist for everyone to enjoy all Pride month long. Based on over 260 suggestions from QBurgh readers, the Pride playlist is nearly six hours of music to celebrate the LGBTQ Community from various artists and genres. The playlist is available to stream on-demand.
In addition to the playlist, WYEP is featuring stories from local LGBTQ folks who are music fans to spotlight an artist or song that is personally meaningful to them. Produced by Rosemary Welsch and Brian Siewiorek, stories include Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation Executive Director Sarah Ross on singer-songwriter Chris Peruka, the owner of Eons in Shadyside Richard Parsakian on Sylvester, mixed media artist Gavin Benjamin on Grace Jones, and more.
