Summer of Pride 2020 Raised $25,000 for LGBTQ+ Charities

Summer of Pride 2020, a month-long event of queer video game streamers playing queer games to raise money for charity, announced that they had raised over $25,000 for LGBTQ+ charities including the Trevor Project, Trans Lifeline, and The Bail Project.

This was the second annual Summer of Pride which has proven to be hugely successful in raising funds and awareness and bringing diversity to the gaming and game streaming industries which historically have lacked diverse representation and inclusion of diverse voices and experiences.

Summer of Pride is produced by MidBoss:

“The Summer of Pride is a month-long event of LGBTQIA+ (queer) streamers playing queer games, throughout the month of June. These fun “gaymers” will be playing some of the best and most unique games that showcase positive representation of queer characters and stories. Tune in and discover some really great games, and follow some really fun streamer personalities.

This year, we’re also supporting four wonderful charities—The Trevor ProjectTrans LifelineThe Bail Project and GaymerX. Tune into any stream and share your support if you can.”
