Steel City Softball League: New Season, New Look; Registration Open for 42nd Season

The 42nd season of the Steel City Softball League is now open for registration, accompanied by a fresh new look featuring a brand new logo, updated branding, as well as revised mission and vision statements. To celebrate the new season, a registration party will be held this Saturday at 5801 in Shadyside from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Interested players can register for the upcoming season either in person during the event or online here.

The Steel City Softball League has been around since 1981 and has recently re-joined the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance.


Mission Statement

By focusing on consistent operational excellence, The Steel City Softball League commits to building and retaining an engaged community by fostering a culture of good sportsmanship, diversity, fellowship, and fun through the sport of softball.

Vision Statement

The Steel City Softball League seeks to be a premier LGBTQ+ organization in Pittsburgh by creating an environment that enriches the lives of its members (past, present, and future) by creating a diverse and inclusive community through a well-managed, non-profit softball league.


OUR HEALTH MATTERS: @bsclehighvalley is excited to present Pennsylvania’s 2025 LGBTQIA+ Health Summit. Held at the Mack Truck Experience Center in Allentown, PA, on June 3, 2025, this summit features expert speakers and findings from the 2024 PA LGBTQ Health Needs Assessment.
