On Monday, QBurgh celebrated one year of serving the LGBTQ Community of Pittsburgh with an exhibit opening and panel discussion at the Point Park University Center for Media Innovation. City Council President Theresa Kail-Smith presented a proclamation declaring October 11, 2021 as “QBurgh Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

The exhibit, titled “50 Years of Coming Out”, showcased photographs and publications since the early 1970s through 2021 documenting the thriving and vibrant LGBTQ Community of Pittsburgh as it grew, overcame internal and external struggles, and celebrated queer joy. You can view an online presentation of the exhibit here.
