Point State Park Should Be Accessible to the Public

Now that Pittsburgh’s Juneteenth has also announced moving their event out of Point State Park because of institutional barriers after previously announcing use of the park this year, much like Pittsburgh Pride, it is more than clear that there is a systemic problem with the administration of the park. 

We are calling on Governor Shapiro and our local State Representatives and Senators to address these issues since DCNR failed to do so and denies any mismanagement or mistreatment. 

Point State Park is a public asset that should be accessible to the public.
