Sunday, May 26

Bigger Gayer Picnic

This Memorial Day weekend marks the return of a Pittsburgh LGBTQ tradition, the BIGGER GAYER PICNIC. A must-attend for anyone 18 and older, the event offers those 21 and over the option to drink, provided they bring proper ID.

Admission grants access to a sumptuous picnic buffet with a variety of options, including delicious vegan selections. In addition to the food, guests will be treated to a phenomenal drag extravaganza starting at 4pm.

For those feeling thirsty, the bars will offer a range of favorite cocktails, beers, and seltzers. Complimentary soft drinks and water will also be readily available to keep everyone hydrated.

It’s important to consume responsibly and plan ahead for a safe journey home—never drink and drive.

Featuring performances by: Judas Elliot, Mykul J. Valentine, Miss Georgia Bea Cummings, Akasha L. Van-Cartier, Trista Storm, Victoria L. Van Cartier, and Luna La Creme.

P Town Pride Pageant

Celebrate Mr. P Town Pride 2023, Joey Young, at the P Town Pride Pageant on May 26th.

Alistair McQueen rejoins the Match Gayme family, stepping into the role of Pee Wee Herman for the next Match Gayme Pride Kick-Off Edition: Pee-Wee’s Playhouse! The full cast is set, but we’re keeping a few surprises under wraps until show night.

Too Hot for July

Too Hot for July (TH4J), the annual FREE HIV awareness event, is hosted by AIDS Free Pittsburgh in partnership with True T Pgh. The event will feature trailblazer and Tony Award winner Alex Newell, DJ sets and performances from local artists, free and confidential HIV/STI testing and MPox vaccines, a health fair and marketplace, ballroom-inspired battles with cash prizes, a cash bar by Spirit, food trucks, and more. Too Hot for July is free and open to the public.

5801 Queer Comedy Showcase

5801 kicks off Pride Weekend with their first Queer Comedy Showcase, hosted by the fabulous Joe MyGosh! This event features some of the funniest local talents, including Miss National Comedy Queens Vivian Vendetta-Sinclaire (2024) and Dixie Surewood (2018), along with the hilarious stand-up performances of Dwayne Duke and Chrissy Costa. There is a $5 cover for all of 5801’s weekend events, with proceeds benefiting the Hugh Lane Wellness Center.

Pittsburgh Pride Festival Day 1

The 2024 Pride festivities will kick off on May 31st, once again basking in the greenery and ambiance of Allegheny Commons Park West. Starting at 1pm, attendees can enjoy entertainment, vendors, food, games, and arts and crafts.

Crush Hour Pride Kickoff

Join Crush Hour for their annual Pride weekend celebrations at 5801, starting at 5PM! The party heats up with special guest DJ @dj_eesh kicking off the Sapphic Sessions dance party at 8PM. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Dancing Queen: Pride Disco Dance Party

Keep the disco going after the free Pittsburgh Pride concert by heading to P Town for an outdoor event featuring Pittsburgh’s top disco, funk, and dance band, Dancing Queen. They will be playing hits from the 70s and 80s from 9 PM to midnight. Meanwhile, inside the bar, DJ Winston will keep the party going with dance music from 10 PM to 2 AM. Get your bell bottoms, pride gear, and dancing shoes ready for a night you won’t want to miss!

Brewer’s Pride Kickoff Party

The Underground at Brewer’s promises a night filled with vibrant dancing, delightful Jell-O shots, wonderful drink specials, and mesmerizing go-go dancers! With no cover charge, it’s the perfect opportunity to gather friends for a night to remember. The event will be hosted by the fabulous Envy Sinn, with music provided by the talented DJ Hot Toddie.

  • Baum Shelter: Elijah will host Jocks and Cocks, an event where attendees can wear their favorite jocks and be ready to strip down and dance the night away. Clothing check will be available from 10 PM to 2 AM.

Get ready to slay as some of Pittsburgh’s fiercest entertainers take to the Maryland Avenue Stage during 5801’s biggest Pride celebration ever! Join the crowd for an electrifying drag show featuring iconic LGBTQ+ anthems and unforgettable performances. Hosted by Dixie Surewood, the event will showcase talents such as Alora Chateaux, Sasha Nolan, October, Calipso, Max Starvania, Joey Young, Leia Way LeStat, and Chi Chi deVivre.

The event has a $5 cover for all weekend events, with proceeds benefiting the Hugh Lane Wellness Center.

The Loud & Proud Music Festival will kick off at 1pm and run through 9pm at the outdoor space adjacent to Ormsby Avenue Cafe. The venue is located at 402 Ormsby Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. Tickets for the Loud & Proud Music Festival can be purchased in advance online for $12 and for $15 on the day of the event.

Honcho Pride Boat Party
