Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro will march in the Pittsburgh Pride March and Parade on Saturday, June 3 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Pride in Pittsburgh. The Governor will be joined by Lt. Governor Austin Davis, Senator John Fetterman, Congresswoman Summer Lee, Mayor Ed Gainey, and many other local elected leaders.

Governor Shapiro will be the first Pennsylvania governor to march in the Pittsburgh Pride Parade. Governor Ed Rendell spoke before the parade stepped off in 2006 but did not march. Senator John Fetterman and Lt. Governor Austin Davis, both of Western Pennsylvania, have attended the Pittsburgh Pride Parade for multiple years. Shapiro marched in the Pittsburgh Pride Parade when he served as Attorney General.

The 2023 Pittsburgh Pride March and Parade will be grand marshaled by State Representative La’Tasha Mayes.
