Pride on the Shore, Pittsburgh’s LGBTQ+ Pop Music Festival, announced today that global star JoJo Siwa will join the lineup as a special guest on Friday, May 31, at Stage AE.

Pride on the Shore previously announced its full lineup for Friday, May 31, and Sunday, June 2, which includes Chappell Roan, Jess Glynne, Slayyyter, Keke Palmer, Natasha Bedingfield, G FLIP, Hannah Rad, Jessica Wild, Kaleena Zanders, Kitty Glitter, Matt Suave, Jaesyun, The Scarlet Opera, Xunami Muse, and more.

“As the festival continues to build, I’m ecstatic to add new elements and artists to help kick off another monumental Pride month,” said Nick Staples, founder and executive producer. “This year, we’ve put our biggest focus on community by creating new programs such as our Community Ticket Program, which offers discounted tickets for those who would like to attend our festival but might not have the financial means to do so. This program saw massive success and sold out within a week.”

JoJo Siwa, 20, is an American dancer, singer, actress, and YouTube personality who first gained fame on the TV show “Dance Moms.” Known for her vibrant personality, oversized bows, and bubbly pop songs, Siwa has become a role model for young fans worldwide. Beyond her entertainment career, Siwa has been a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights since publicly coming out in early 2021. She’s recognized for her influence among young audiences, often promoting messages of positivity, self-acceptance, and the freedom to be oneself, making her a significant figure in contemporary youth culture.

In addition to the national acts, Pride on the Shore announced the lineup of incredible local and community talent, which were selected by members of the LGBTQ Community of Pittsburgh including Anita Tension, Leia Way Lestat, Max Starvana, Miss V Van Cartier, Tess Tickles, Dyke Tyson, Andi Whorehol, Luna Skye, and Indi Skies.

Pride on the Shore is also donating tickets to local non-profits and has partnered with Plus1 to donate a portion of the festival proceeds. “We’re on a serious mission to create queer-oriented events while boosting and celebrating the people and communities that make them what they are,” said Staples.

Pride on the Shore kicks off Friday, May 31, 2024, with day two of talent scheduled for Sunday, June 2nd. Limited tickets remain.
