K&L Gates and FBI Combat LGBTQ Human Trafficking Locally

Two years ago the FBI approached Pittsburgh based law firm K&L Gates to form a first-of-its-kind partnership to help combat LGBTQ human trafficking in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania, reports the Lawyers Journal.

“The FBI approached us because of our positive reputation among the LGBTQ Community”, K&L Gates Associate Michael Komo told the Journal. Komo also leads the K&L Gates LGBTQ Employee Resource Group.

The partnership has set up a website at HumanTraffickingHelp.com

The Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative’s mission is to serve a resource for victims of human trafficking to help educate them and allow them to receive the protections they are afforded under the Constitution.
