Healthcare & Housing Focus of Trans Rights March

TransYouniting and True T Pittsburgh organized a march in Downtown Pittsburgh today in opposition to the Trump administrations recent guidelines discriminating against Trans people in healthcare and housing.

The march started at the U.S. Steel building which is home to UMPC’s offices and continued down Grant Street to the City County Building. Organizers said they reached out to both UPMC and Highmark Health, and Gateway Health for comment on their positions providing serves to trans identified individuals. Only Highmark responded with what organizers described as an “unsatisfactory” comment.
