April 2026 marks three years since Wendi’s death. We’d like to share our progress in archiving and preserving her legacy in a time when human rights and protections are being taken away. We have cataloged nearly 1,000 pieces of art that she had collected or had been abandoned at her frameshop. We have filled over 75 storage boxes with Wendi’s history. The materials will become an official archive that documents and contextualizes her life and Pittsburgh’s trans history, which will be made accessible to researchers and creators.
