Steel City Queer Film Club is a Pittsburgh meetup group for fans of LGBTQ+ cinema!
For our January meetup, we’ll be discussing Barry Jenkins’ 2016 film, Moonlight. The winner of the Best Picture Oscar among many other accolades, the story follows Chiron at three different ages as he grows up and learns to navigate his identity and sexuality against the backdrop of Miami and Atlanta.
We’ll be meeting on Sunday, January 28th at 2pm at City Kitchen in Bakery Square.
As the name of the group suggests, all of the chosen movies for our club will feature queer characters, actors, directors, and/or writers. We’ll each watch the selected film on our own time and then meet up to discuss the film!
All LGBTQ+ folks and allies welcome! If you love cinema and want to discuss our film of the month, we’re eager to have you as part of our group!
