Stonewall Kickball Pittsburgh just wrapped up our largest season ever! We had 538 players across 30 teams in three divisions. This is the most players and most teams in the history of our league. During our playoffs tournaments on November 2, we crowned three division champions and also recognized Spirit Award winners, nominated by the players.

In the Mister Rogers Division, Bottoms of the 9th completed their undefeated season with a victory over newcomers BTA, who also had a great season. Bottoms of the 9th entered playoffs with a record of 7 wins and 1 tie.

Look What You Made Me Kick (Taylor’s Version) defeated U-Haulin’ A$$ for their second Pierogi Division championship in three seasons. The Pierogi Division was wide open this season, with 10 of the 13 teams finishing the regular season with at least 3 wins.

In the Yinzer Division, Kick in a Box completed their perfect season with a victory in the Championship over 100% That Pitch. Kick in a Box was the only team in the league to win every game they played, with no losses or ties.

Stonewall Kickball is proud to announce the winners of the three leaguewide Spirit Awards:

Abby Linton Scott was recognized as League MVP. She is the captain of Send Kick Pics in the Pierogi Division. This comes after her recognition as Captain of the Year in the previous season. Abby brought great leadership and spirit throughout the season, both on and off the field.

DJ Hall-Ayers of Kick Teases was recognized as Captain of the Year. Kick Teases was a new team this season assembled from a few different teams, and they managed to win the regular season of the Pierogi Division. DJ led his new team to success with his amazing leadership.

Adam Trüssa of Bad Pitches Club was recognized as Umpire of the Year. In addition to being a team captain, Adam stepped up to umpire wherever he was needed. Stonewall Kickball can’t play our games without umps, and Adam exemplifies the dedication of our umpires.
