Last night, the walls of P Town couldn’t contain the energy as Savannah Ray, Pittsburgh’s self-proclaimed backbending, spiderwalking queen, was officially crowned Miss P Town Pride 2025! Drenched in glamour and ghoulish charm, Savannah stunned judges and audiences alike with a performance that was equal parts theatrical, terrifying, and totally iconic.
Known for her spooky, punk-rock edge and signature creepy queen vibes, Savannah leaned all the way into her brand, serving looks that screamed pageant royalty with a deliciously dark twist. Fangs, sequins, spiderwebs, and a killer smirk all came together as she accepted the crown with a bouquet of roses and a queenly confidence that only she could deliver. The Miss P Town Pride 2025 pageant was Savannah’s first pageant.
Throughout the night, Savannah wowed in three different looks, each one a powerful reflection of her distinctive drag style. “All three were good representations of my style,” she explained. “My presentation and talent looks were both great representations of my aesthetic, spooky yet sultry. My evening gown was very glamorous, and it was a concept I’ve wanted to do since before I even started drag.” Both her talent and evening gown looks were designed by her drag mother, Calipso, whose influence and support were deeply felt throughout the evening.
When asked about what inspires her spooky glamor, she said, “I love the juxtaposition of things that are scary but still beautiful. Vampires are a great example of that. I love a vampire that’s both elegant and dangerous, and so I want to emulate that.”
Of course, Savannah’s win wasn’t a solo act. In addition to Calipso, she gave heartfelt thanks to Lavender, Wil, Presley, and Jordan, saying, “Everyone was a great help to me and I honestly couldn’t have done this without them.”
From a lineup of truly stunning contestants, Savannah stood out not only for her polished looks but for her fully committed aesthetic, a blend of horror, humor, and high camp. With a crown now firmly on her head, Savannah Ray will continue to push the boundaries of what pageant drag can be: creepy, creative, and totally captivating.
Congratulations Savannah! Long may she reign.
