Outrageous Bingo canceled

The Outrageous Bingo fund-raiser scheduled for November has been canceled. A spokesperson for the all-volunteer committee that organizes the monthly event cited low attendance at the October bingo as one factor in the cancellation. Committee members are reconsidering the location of the event and may revamp the bingo schedule.

Prior to a summer hiatus, Outrageous Bingo attracted sell-out crowds to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland. Proceeds from the monthly bingo were distributed to the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force and Shepherd Wellness Community to fund programs that benefit those affected by HIV and AIDS.
