Search for PATF exec continues

The Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force said it hopes to have a new executive director at the agency sometime in January, as a search committee continues its efforts to replace former PATF executive director David Stabile.

Stabile served as executive director from April 1997 until his resignation became effective in August of this year. PATF board member Dr. Sam Golden has been named interim director.

According to PATF Community Relations Associate Tammy Frech, the agency is also seeking a director of development to replace Frank Leavens, who resigned in July.

In the interim, development projects, including PATF’s annual fund-raising campaign, which began Oct. 13, will continue under the leadership of Carole King of King Communications and board member Leo Castagnari. Laura Horowitz, a paid consultant, will coordinate special events for the PATF, Frech told Out.
