This October marks eight years since eleven Jewish elders were murdered at Tree of Life – Or L’Simcha, Dor Hadash, and New Light congregations here in Pittsburgh. This horrific shooting was motivated by the “Great Replacement Theory,” a conspiracy theory rooted in antisemitic and xenophobic ideology.

In this moment of heightened violence against immigrants, we are opening a discussion about the connections between anti-immigrant racism and antisemitism — and how we will challenge them together in solidarity across communities.

Accessibility: The event space is wheelchair accessible. There’s a lot going around, so please wear a mask and we’ll have extras if you need one. If you’re sick, are testing positive for COVID, and/or have had close contact (e.g., a housemate) with COVID, please sit this one out. We’d love to see you next time!
