SUMMARY:10.27 & Jewish-Immigrant Solidarity
DESCRIPTION:This October marks eight years since eleven Jewish elders were murdered at Tree of Life – Or L’Simcha\, Dor Hadash\, and New Light congregations here in Pittsburgh. This horrific shooting was motivated by the “Great Replacement Theory\,” a conspiracy theory rooted in antisemitic and xenophobic ideology. \nIn this moment of heightened violence against immigrants\, we are opening a discussion about the connections between anti-immigrant racism and antisemitism — and how we will challenge them together in solidarity across communities. \nAccessibility: The event space is wheelchair accessible. There’s a lot going around\, so please wear a mask and we’ll have extras if you need one. If you’re sick\, are testing positive for COVID\, and/or have had close contact (e.g.\, a housemate) with COVID\, please sit this one out. We’d love to see you next time! \n🖤 10.27 & Jewish-Immigrant Solidarity 🖤\n📆 Sunday\, November 1 | 1 – 3 PM\n🔗 RSVP for location – tinyurl.com/neveragainpghconvo \n[Image description: A graphic for an upcoming event. The graphic has a black background\, white text\, and a photo of people holding immigrant solidarity signs at a Never Again Action demonstration. The graphic’s text is roughly the same as the text in the caption above. There are also logos for Never Again Action and Ratzon.]
