Shepherd Wellness Community (SWC) brought the glitz, glamour, and plenty of heart to its 2026 Red Ribbon Benefit: A Community Cabaret, welcoming more than 120 supporters for an evening of entertainment, delicious food, and community connection.

Hosted by Pittsburgh favorites Dixie Surewood and Vaughn Hudspath, the benefit featured a lively mix of song, dance, fashion, and performances celebrating the community that has supported SWC’s mission for nearly four decades.

The evening also recognized three community members for their outstanding contributions. Bill Friedlander and Jim Edmonds-Harpster were honored for their dedicated service to Shepherd Wellness Community, while Dr. Deborah McMahon was recognized for her contributions to the broader HIV community.

With its 40th anniversary on the horizon in 2027, Shepherd Wellness Community continues its longstanding mission of helping people living with HIV/AIDS improve their wellness while fostering connection, dignity, and belonging.
