Pride Movie Night at the Palace Theater

June 26 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Kick off Pride Weekend at The Palace Theatre with a film that gave generations of audiences glamour, chosen family, roadside wisdom, and three iconic queens on a cross-country journey toward joy.

Join Westmoreland Cultural Trust on Friday, June 26, 2026, for a special Pride screening of To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, the beloved cult classic starring Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, and John Leguizamo as three drag performers whose road trip becomes a celebration of friendship, resilience, self-expression, and the transformative power of showing up exactly as you are.

Doors open at 7 PM, with the film beginning at 8 PM. Arrive early and make an entrance. The evening will feature a special appearance from our Pride Drag Brunch queens, who will judge the evening’s drag contest, plus an LGBTQIA+ Vendor Market, specialty Pride cocktails, full bar service, endless drink packages, popcorn, and plenty of reasons to serve a look.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed for the occasion, whether that means full glam, campy couture, Pride colors, vintage diva realness, or whatever makes you feel most yourself. The winner of the evening’s drag contest will receive two VIP tickets to Westmoreland Cultural Trust’s annual Pride Drag Brunch on Sunday, June 28, 2026, held on stage at The Palace Theatre.
Admission is just $15 per person and includes entry to the event, a souvenir Palace cup with one soft drink fill, and popcorn.

This 16+ event launches a full weekend of Pride programming, continuing with Pride Prom on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art and Pride Drag Brunch on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at The Palace Theatre.

As The Palace Theatre celebrates its Centennial Anniversary, Pride Movie Night brings the venue back to its roots as a historic movie house, honoring its legacy while filling the space with the joy, visibility, and creative expression of today’s LGBTQIA+ community.

As part of Westmoreland Cultural Trust’s Pride Weekend, this event reflects our continued commitment to access, belonging, and creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ audiences, artists, families, students, and allies feel welcomed, celebrated, and seen.
