11 Pittsburgh Companies Receive Perfect Score on HRC Corporate Equality Index

Giant Eagle, Highmark, UPMC, Dick's Sporting Goods, American Eagle, and more make the list

Eleven Pittsburgh-based companies received perfect scores on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index which measures corporations’ inclusive, equitable policies and environments for their LGBTQ+ employees.

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, Community Care Behavioral Health Organizartion, Giant Eagle Inc, Highmark, Howmet Aerospace, K & L Gates, PNC Financial Services, PPG Industries, Reed Smith LLP, United States Steel Corp, and UPMC Health Plan all received perfect, 100 point scores.

Five additional Pittsburgh-based companies received a score of 90 or above. Dick’s Sporting Goods(95), EQT Corporation(95), Alcoa Corporation(90), American Eagle Outfitters(90), and Wabtec Corporation(90) rounded out the list.

The Human Rights Campaign’s annual Corporate Equality Index initially launched in 2002 and over the past 20 years has been a national benchmarking tool measuring policies, practices and benefits pertinent to LGBTQ+ employees and a driving force for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
