What are the barriers to vaccinating the LGBTQ Community?

The Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation has partnered with the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown and other LGBTQ centers and clinics across Pennsylvania with facilitation by Bryn Mawr College to conduct a survey of the LGBTQ Community and the COVID-19 vaccines.

The survey seeks to identify and address any barriers or gaps for LGBTQ Pennsylvanians who are 18 years of age or older in accessing the COVID-19 vaccines, trust in the vaccines and their administration, as well as, masking and social distancing practices that may effect the spread of COVID-19 within our communities. This is the first statewide LGBTQ COVID-19 vaccine survey in the country and is modeled after a successful regional survey in Boulder, Colorado.

The survey is approved by the Institutional Review Board at Bryn Mawr College and all responses are confidential. All LGBTQ Pennsylvanians aged 18 years and older are invited to participate.
