Misogynists Come Out of the Woodwork to Stand up for Women Like the Heroes They Aren’t

Hot take: Ronnie Radke is a joke and Falling In Reverse sucks.

Actually, I take that back. I would hate to have my calling Radke “a joke” give anyone the mistaken impression that he is in any way humorous. He is not. Also saying that Falling In Reverse sucks is insulting to vacuums and fellatio, things that are useful and that a lot of people like. Radke, in case you’re lucky and don’t follow the news of mediocre metalcore bands, is the singer of Falling In Reverse. He is also a transphobic, racist, sexist creep.

Radke’s got a long history of misogyny and he served time for his role in a murder. So, yikes.

Further proof that Radke is sexist and unfunny, in 2014 he shared a “joke” about 9/11 that I will not repeat here, but his Twitter apology tells you all you need to know: “The joke i made about what men will do for sex with the 9/11 picture attached to it was not intended to offend anyone.”

Ah, I see. It was not intended to offend anyone. Radke’s intentions were no doubt as pure then as they are now when he was recently outraged after seeing trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney — you know, the same person who drove Kid Rock to shoot at cans of Bud Light with a gun just in case there were people who needed further convincing that he’s trash — holding a box of tampons. Radke raged about it on Twitter.

“The same people that call me a womanizer, abuser, and bigot are the same people that support the ideology that trans can have periods and support tampon companies making trans the spokesperson,” tweeted Radke, who at the time of this writing is using Michael Jackson as his Twitter name for some reason. “It’s extremely offensive to all women, to mock their biology. stop pretending this is okay.”

A couple of things. First, Mulvaney is not the spokesperson for Tampax or any other tampon company — though even if she was, who cares?

Secondly, I’m really fucking tired of misogynistic people using the existence of trans people in order to pretend they care about women. It’s a whole lotta bullshit.

But don’t worry. As soon as Radke realized that the Mulvaney Tampax sponsorship wasn’t real he apologized.

Ha ha. Just kidding.

“We have brainwashed kids into thinking that basic biology and common sense need to be argued,” he Tweeted. “A man isn’t a man and a women isn’t a woman anymore, nobody can tell you what a women [sic] is, they’re all terrified to get publicly shamed for it.”

First they came for a woman and I said nothing. Then they came for “a women” and Ronnie Radke would not shut up.

When someone responded to Radke that a woman is anyone who identifies as such, Radke chose not only to dig in his heels, but to also be flagrantly racist: “Cool I identify as a black man, do I get my reparations now?”

I’m sure he would say that this was a joke. Did I mention that Radke is not funny? Also racist?

It’s wild to me that there are so many people who cannot accept that gender is a construct and that there’s more to how one identifies than penises and vaginas. Radke claims that all we need is “basic biology and common sense.” Spoken like someone who not only has no knowledge or curiosity about biology and mistakes whatever thoughts rattle around in his skull for “common sense.”

Radke apparently got banned from TikTok for his anti-trans tirades. He took to Twitter to declare, “Banned from tik tok for saying most women don’t wanna be called ‘cis’ good thing this does not matter to me.”

It matters so little to him that he has taken to a different social media platform to complain about the one that banned him. Got it. Clearly doesn’t care at all.

He then claimed he was “shadow banned” on Twitter by posting, “Freedom of speech is dead, America has fallen.”

Well, it was a good run, America. But also a terrible run. A lot of really bad historical shit: slavery, child labor, segregation, wars, Trump. But it took a privately owned social media company trying to keep a guy from spouting off whatever hateful nonsense he feels like saying about trans people without any consequences that finally brought us down. As the founding fathers intended.
