EmBody: The ReSanctification of Black & Brown Queerness is a multidisciplinary performance art experience rooted in the belief that LGBTQIA+ bodies, stories, sensuality, and identities are Sacred.

In hopes of awakening our ancestral memory, we honor the Queer and Transgender people who held revered roles as spiritual teachers, healers, shamans, and bridges between the physical and spiritual realms. This offering is a rejection of our erasure.

Through poetry, live vocals, sound healing, ritual, and choreography spanning multiple movement styles, EmBody follows the journey of a Divine Queer Soul as they enter the world and navigate the many phases of life. Exploring ancestral veneration, decolonization, identity, community, death, rebirth, and the reclamation of self, we rewrite the Queer origin story. Be transported to the past, present, and future of Black and Brown performance art and leave EmBodying a your own divinity.
