Steel City Queer Film Club is a Pittsburgh meetup group for fans of LGBTQ+ cinema!

For our April meetup, we’ll be discussing the 1998 glam rock film, Velvet Goldmine. Directed by Todd Haynes, this musical drama follows the story of the fictional Brian Slade, a glam rock star who faked his own death and disappeared, and the journalist who’s trying to find him.

We’ll be meeting on Sunday, April 14th at 2pm at City Kitchen in Bakery Square.

As the name of the group suggests, all of the chosen movies for our club will feature queer characters, actors, directors, and/or writers. We’ll each watch the selected film on our own time and then meet up to discuss the film!

All LGBTQ+ folks and allies welcome! If you love cinema and want to discuss our film of the month, we’re eager to have you as part of our group!
