21+ Night: Queer as Folklore

Grab some friends, or meet new ones, and escape reality during Kamin Science Center’s annual Pride 21+ Night. Enjoy a night of fantastical fairy fun centered on historic queer folklore and science!

  • Watch a drag show of high fantasy and fun co-hosted by Ari Nova and Catty Wampus, featuring Savannah Ray and Tess Tickles.
  • Experience all five floors of the Science Center kid-free so you too can have fun with all our interactive exhibits!
  • Sip on themed cocktails and mocktails exclusive to this event at our stocked bars throughout the museum.
  • Let loose, celebrate your pride, and be a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and meet representatives from local queer organizations and businesses.
  • Dress in your best fantasy outfit and channel your ethereal energy. That Ren Faire fit can be worn more than once a year!
  • Have a date night under the stars by coming to one of the stunning shows at the Buhl Planetarium!
  • Enjoy enchanting harmonies performed by the Pittsburgh Pride Choir.
  • Learn about ancient and modern folklore, featuring openly queer and queer-coded gods, goddesses, heroes, and villains, through legendary science demos and activities.
  • Enjoy talks about the history behind the phenomena of queer-coded mythology by experts.
