Founded in 1987 SWC is the only HIV/AIDS community in Western Pennsylvania. Our mission is helping people living with HIV/AIDS improve their wellness. Since our founding the hallmark of Shepherd Wellness Community has been our Wellness Dinners that are open to people living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones. Our dinners, which are coupled with either a wellness program or HIV/AIDS Support Group, are a gateway enabling persons to connect with care at other service organizations, medical providers and social services.
