Central Outreach Wellness Center has officially received the monkeypox vaccine, called JYNNEOS, from the Strategic National Stockpile.

Central Outreach will offer the vaccine to people who have been confirmed exposed to monkeypox by the health department or are suspected to have been exposed to monkeypox first.

There have been 12 confirmed cases of monkeypox by the Allegheny County Health Department in the Pittsburgh area. If you had a hookup with someone that has monkeypox or were at an event with close skin-to-skin contact where someone had a case of monkeypox, you are encouraged to contact Central Outreach Wellness Center or the Allegheny County Health Department.

The JYNNEOS vaccine is available at Central Outreach North Shore and Central Outreach Washington.

For more information, call 855-5-WE-CARE to speak to a Central Outreach representative.
