Bindr, the Pittsburgh-based LGBTQIA+ dating app where you don’t set your sexual orientation, has been chosen to exhibit at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 as part of Startup Battlefield 200, the world’s preeminent startup competition. Bindr is one of 200 startups selected from a review of thousands of applicants to pitch in front of investors and TechCrunch editors. This year’s Startup Battlefield participants span artificial intelligence, software as a service, fintech, security, sustainability, space exploration, and more.
“We are extremely thankful to be selected and bring our part of the LGBTQIA+ community this year to TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield. What started as an app with just a few thousand users not so long ago, is now reaching millions of people and this really marks for us that the tech community is taking notice of that. When you have the traction that we do, with an event like this now backing us, it’s hard to ignore why this was so needed for so many. We’re the company, the app, and most of all, the people that will change the world.” said Mary Richardson, Bindr’s CEO, and Co-founder.
TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 will be held from Monday, October 28, through Wednesday, October 30, at Moscone West in San Francisco. The event is known for debuting the hottest startups, introducing game-changing technologies, and discussing what’s top-of-mind for the tech industry’s key innovators—and this year promises to be no different. Past companies launched at Disrupt include Dropbox, Mint, Cloudflare, Fitbit, Yammer and more.
