Bette Midler “Can’t Wait to Fly” Again in Hocus Pocus Sequel!

“The Witch is back! And there’s hell to pay!”

Well, at least if Bette Midler can have her way with the forth coming sequel being produced for Disney+.

Bette Midler sat down with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week and discussed the possibility of returning as everyone’s favorite witch, Winifred Sanderson, in the sequel to the 1993 cult classic and every gay’s favorite Halloween romp “Hocus Pocus”.

“I can’t wait to fly!”

“I can’t wait to fly!” Midler said. “We’re just talking logistics.” she told Entertainment Tonight.

In 2019 news broke that Disney was developing a long awaited sequel, possibly as an exclusive for their streaming service Disney+. Though it hasn’t been confirmed that any of the original cast, including Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy, is returning, “talking logistics” certainly sounds like Midler’s in.

The 1993 Halloween movie was a box office bomb but has achieved cult classic status in the 27 years since it’s release, especially by the LGBTQ Community. It’s hard to say exactly why so many in the queer community love the movie so much but everyone likes to play dress up every once in awhile and enjoys a thrilling musical number!
