Allies for Health + Wellbeing Raises Over $4,000 During ‘ONE DAY’ Campaign

In an incredible show of community support, Allies for Health + Wellbeing has successfully raised over $4,000 during the ‘ONEDAY’ Critical Needs Alert campaign through the Pittsburgh Foundation. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the power of collective action in supporting the most vulnerable members of our society.

Here’s a breakdown of how community contributions make a tangible difference at Allies:

  • $25 provides a Goodwill voucher for clothing.
  • $50 supplies one month’s worth of food and personal care items from the pantry.
  • $100 covers public transportation for a month, ensuring clients can attend medical appointments, work, and return home safely.
  • $200 funds a full panel of tests, including HIV, Hepatitis C, and STIs.
  • $500 secures a bed for a client.
  • $1,000 helps pay a client’s rent for one month, preventing eviction.

The #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert campaign through the Pittsburgh Foundation is a vital initiative that helps the community rally together to support over 200 nonprofits across Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. These nonprofits serve populations that face significant challenges in accessing essential resources and opportunities, particularly Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC).

Thanks to our community’s generosity, Allies for Health + Wellbeing raised $4,076, which will be matched through the Pittsburgh Foundation’s Critical Needs Alert. This means your impact is doubled, providing even more support to those in need.

If you missed the opportunity to give during the campaign, donations are always welcome on Allies’ website, AlliesPGH.org.

“When Democrats ignore the persecution and scapegoating of transgender people, when they ignore the inhumane treatment of migrants, what they are doing is normalizing it. Their silence is essentially saying to the majority of the country, “This is not such a big deal.” And to the people directly affected they’re saying, “You’re on your own.”” Full article link in bio. ...
