Steel City Softball League brought the sparkle to the diamond this Pride weekend with their inaugural drag softball showdown, “Gloves and Glitter.” The event, held Saturday at Les Getz Memorial Park in Swissvale, was anything but ordinary. Two fabulous teams, the Glove Handles and the Glitter Bugs, battled it out in a playful, high-camp game packed with twists. Each inning introduced a wild new rule: think running bases in reverse or fielding with your non-dominant hand. Despite the mud, local drag icon Indi Skies took to the field in heels to serve as host, keeping the energy high and the commentary fierce. The tournament was also a fundraiser for the league, blending sport, drag, and community joy into one unforgettable Pride celebration.
