Members of GAP, GSP and L-F confronted a forum on pornography held at the Pittsburgh Catholic Diocesan Building on March 3. Initial reaction to our sisters and brothers was extremely hostile as several porno opponents shouted for them to leave. Throughout the meeting, the anti porno group consistently avoided discussing the issues raised by the Gays. However, after meeting they did manage to talk with Pittsburgh Supt. of Police Robert Colville. The women who spoke with him reported that his lack of consciousness concerning women and rape was woeful. On the other hand, Chuck Myers said that when asked about police oppression of Gays, Colville was sensitive to the rights of Gays to public expression of affection. He went so far as to say that any grievances against individual police officers should be brought to his personal attention.
