A Pittsburgh Pride Maze

Drawn by the talented Joe Wos, the Pittsburgh Pride maze is inspired by undeniably Pittsburgh imagery and iconography featuring a pegasus leaping over the fountain at the Point. Pegasus was the name of a long-time LGBTQ bar and night club on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. The Pegasus Lounge opened in June 1980 and was often the first LGBTQ space many young people experienced in and around Pittsburgh. It is remembered fondly by generations of LGBTQ Pittsburghers. Pegasus closed its Liberty Avenue location in 2009 and moved to the North Side. It permanently closed in 2012.
