Pennsylvania Drag Performers Invited to Statewide Community Listening Session

The virtual November 18 event will give drag artists across Pennsylvania an opportunity to discuss safety, community needs, and building stronger connections.

Pennsylvania drag performers are being invited to speak up, share their experiences, and help shape conversations about the future of their community.

Governor Josh Shapiro’s Advisory Commission on LGBTQ Affairs will host a virtual Drag Community Listening Session on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The statewide gathering aims to bring drag artists together to discuss challenges, identify resources, and explore ways to strengthen connections among performers across Pennsylvania.

Topics will include improving communication about drag events and performance opportunities, identifying safety resources for Pride celebrations, and addressing challenges facing drag artists.

The commission also wants to hear how performers can better support one another, share resources, and ensure more voices are included in community conversations.

Whether they’re longtime performers or just getting started, drag artists at every stage of their journey are encouraged to participate.

The session is intended to create space for conversation and collaboration rather than arrive at predetermined solutions.

The event is free to attend virtually; online participation details will be provided to registered attendees.
