YOUth Haven Launched for LGBTQ Youth Programming

Earlier this month Persad ended it’s LGBTQ youth programming because a State grant had run out leaving a huge gap in community programming specifically for the young LGBTQ+ community.

A coalition of other LGBTQ Community groups have come together to launch YOUth Haven.

Proud Haven, which serves the homeless LGBTQ population, is providing space in its North Side location and has partnered with TransYOUniting and Trans Pride Pittsburgh to make the Youth Haven programming possible.

Long time community activist Lindsey Sickler, who ran the youth programming at Persad, will be overseeing the Youth Haven programming.

YOUth Haven will begin it’s programming on July 14th.
