Welcome to Pittsburgh Pride

Mayor Ed Gainey

On behalf of the residents of our great city, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Pittsburgh in celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month!

The celebrations that will occur over the next month embody the spirit of Pittsburgh, a city that is welcoming, diverse, and accepting of all people. Pittsburgh is home to some of our nation’s most talented artists, entrepreneurs, and change-makers. We’re also home to 15,000 acres of public parks and green spaces and world-class architecture. And with more than 32 museums, 30 concert venues, and 19 public libraries, our arts community rivals any other major American city. Throughout Pride Month, I encourage everyone to join in the festivities and enjoy all that Pittsburgh has to offer – from our beautiful rivers to our diverse neighborhoods.

I would like to commend QBurgh for organizing the annual Pride Guide magazine with information on all the Pride festivites, recognitions of our local community volunteers, and spotlights on many of the incredible accomplishments of Pittsburgh’s LGBTQIA+ Community. Pittsburgh is a place where every member of the LGBTQIA+ community is valued for who they are and we are working hard to ensure that everyone feels safe, feels welcome, and that Pittsburgh is a city where everyone can thrive.

When we come together in celebration and solidarity we help build a city for all.

Happy Pride Pittsburgh,
Mayor Ed Gainey
