The Crown Fits the Goblin: Snoozy Q Reigns at P Town

The reign of the goblin queen has just begun.

Last night, Pittsburgh crowned its newest drag royalty as Snoozy Q took home the title of Miss P Town in a whirlwind night of glitter, spiders, and at least one Glinda gone rogue.

The pageant, held at P Town Bar on Sunday, November 30, marked a full-circle moment for Snoozy Q, who first cut her teeth in the very same venue during the now-iconic Mom’s Basement open stage competition. Back in 2022, she placed 1st alternate. Last night? She devoured.

“I am feeling absolutely incredible, over the moon, obsessed, and hungry,” Snoozy said after her win. “Also very humbled and honored and excited for what I’m going to do with the opportunity, not just for myself, but for the community!”

The pageant featured three categories: presentation, eveningwear, and talent. For most queens, that might mean a rhinestoned gown and a ballad. For Snoozy Q, it meant turning “Kill Bill” into a live stunt show, reclaiming “Madame Web” with a sparkly spider dress, and debuting #FatGlinda, a Glinda-the-Good lip-sync complete with unhinged binge eating and comedic chaos.

“This package really represented my drag, my capabilities as a comedic entertainer and absolute goblin of drag,” she said.

Highlights included an Uma Thurman moment with a full stunt double swap mid-number; the return of her spider look, as seen in Edgewood Magazine Vol. 6; and a reworked blue gown now serving “binge-eating Barbiecore sorceress.”

Yes, she procrastinated. No, she has no regrets. “Procrastination truly is the key to winning titles here in Pittsburgh,” she said.

This isn’t Snoozy’s first foray into pageantry. Over the past year, she’s been quietly stacking placements like a Pokémon trainer collecting gym badges. 2nd Alternate at Blue Moon in January, 1st Alternate at City of Bridges Comedy Queen in October, and now, the win at Miss P Town.

She credits her drag family, the infamous Goon Squad consisting of JoeMyGosh, Jaxa Froot, Andi Whorehol, and Em, with shaping her evolution from “crunchy overdrawn block brows” to a conceptual powerhouse.

“They were the first people to book me, take me under their wings… and we’ve just been taking over the Pittsburgh scene since!”

“Pittsburgh’s Italian Stallion of drag” isn’t slowing down. With National Miss Comedy Queen on the horizon in 2026, she’s already working on her next chaotic masterpiece, this time with slightly less procrastination.

But as Miss P Town, she’s got big goals for her reign, too. “I want to elevate what’s possible at P Town,” she said. “And bring visibility to the legacy of past winners. I’ve got wild ideas cooking and I want to spotlight more diverse, weird, and underrepresented talent, both in and outside of Pittsburgh.”

To any baby queens, kings, or drag inbetweens wondering if they’re too weird to compete, Snoozy says, “FUCK IT! Go out there and unapologetically show that stage all the weird that you are. If you love what you’re doing and are having fun, the audience will share in that. So just DO IT.”

Long live the goblin queen of Pittsburgh. Long may she reign.
